A kaleidoscope wedding
By admin
Take a peek at the glamorous city wedding we recently designed.

The Bride and Groom were looking for two different themes. The Bride wanted a very classic, traditional look and the Groom is in love with Joburg city and wanted a slick urban, colourful, young and modern look… this was not going to be your typical wedding, and the challenge was on. How would we incorporating two entirely different themes into this large wedding. We drew our inspiration for the colour palette of the urban styled reception event from the colourful scene of trains lined up on the railway tracks below the venue, the final result was incredible and the client was blown away!

Our basis for this wedding was a blank canvas. Everything was white apart from the décor in this industrial space. It’s all in the detail i.e stationary, light fittings, flowers, napkin details etc. Incorporating two entirely different themes into the wedding was a lot of fun, representing the personality of both Bride and Groom.

The Ceremony was held at a Herbert Baker Manor House in Westcliff and the Reception was held at Shine Studios in Braamfontein, Joburg inner city.

Tips for the Bride-to-be: Having a contrast between your Ceremony and Reception adds an unexpected element of surprise for the guests. You can incorporate more than one theme and colour scheme into a wedding…you make the rules, its your special day!
